The ELC Food Pantry focuses on helping individuals and families in our area put enough food on the table, a well as providing toiletries and other essential items. Recognizing that those facing food-insecurity are often navigating other challenges to their wellbeing, such as adequate housing, medical expenses, child and adult care needs, and mental health issues, we inform our clients about other services, as well.  The Suffolk County Department of Social Services provides a range of financial assistance and support services to eligible County residents, and the Family Service League, headquartered in Huntington, is an accessible source of information and support.  Long Island Cares, Inc., our parent food bank, offers a convenient way of locating food sources outside of our service area.
